As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago in my monthly favourites, there have been a few things that I've been loving recently that really doesn't fit into the beauty category. Therefore this new post was born.
First off we'll start with something completely random to get us into the non-beauty mood. I'm a big tea lover, so I wanted a cute little tea set for my room. I got the Svenska Hem teapot and teacup from Kikki.K and I absolutely adore them. The teapot is this gorgeous white ceramic with a gold diamond pattern and a pink lid. Inside there's a little mesh tea leaf holder so you can steep loose leaf teas. It teacup has the same sort of pattern to it but it's pink on the inside with the words, "Live Bright, Be You" on the inside. It also comes with this gorgeous hexagonal pink saucer. They are both just so beautiful and girly. Unfortunately, they are limited edition and you can't get your hands on the cup and saucer anymore, but the teapot is 20% off. They also have a few other wonderful homeware things in the range.
Next up is my 2015 diary, also from Kikki.K. I've probably mentioned this in my last three posts or something like that. It's just that I love it so much. I think the design is elegant and sophisticated and the inside cover is this beautiful geometric pattern. The layout of the pages inside the diary is also excellent and I like how every month, there's a full monthly calendar which makes it easy to see the plans for the month. I'll stop ranting now.
Just finishing up the Kikki.K trifecta is another diary, but this time, it's a 365 day journal. The idea is really simple - there are 365 days in a year and 365 pages. So every day, you write down a little something about your day. I think it's been helpful for me to get my thoughts in order and I think reflecting on your day forces you to appreciate it more, which is always a good thing. This exact one isn't available anymore, but there are plenty of designs available.
Moving along to something completely different, I love snacking, especially on crunchy things. It's a huge problem because chips are my snack of choice. Obviously they aren't the most healthy option. So I've switched out my chips with unsalted roasted almonds, and I've been liking them a lot. I've been bringing them everywhere to eat, especially to work because when I got bored (which is what you do when you're at work), I just want to eat, and these almonds have really satisfied my snack cravings.
Dipping back into almost beauty territory, I've really loved these Kitsch hairties. They're much cuter than your average hairtie, so it's more like a fashion accessory when you wear them around your wrist. They're alos great because they don't catch on your hair or leave weird kinks in them.
I also bought a couple of pieces from Dogeared that I've been loving. I bought the Balance gold plated studs and the Less is the New More silver necklace from The Iconic. And since I've received them, I haven't taken them off. I think the delicate and dainty look of both of these pieces is just so timeless and it can be easily paired with every single look. I can't find the necklace anymore on The Iconic, but they have heaps of other great styles that I'm a little tempted to buy...
And finally, the last thing I've been loving ever since it came is out Taylor Swift's album 1989. I'm not actually the biggest Taylor Swift fan, but I think these songs have been absolutely fantastic (though I still don't like Shake It Off). I've been listening to this album on repeat for a couple of months now and I still haven't gotten sick of it. My favourite songs are probably Blank Space, I Know Places, Wildest Dreams and Out of the Woods. And I just listed a quarter of the album...
That's all for my favourites! I'm not sure if I'll have another one of these up. Got to actually collect a few things that I've been loving before I can write another one.
