Current Evening Skincare

I am a little ashamed to admit this, but I'm not too great at following a skincare regime. I also tend to get lazy and skip it altogether. I'm also pretty bad at removing all my makeup, but recently my skin has been acting up, probably from the lack of care. I've been getting these crazy breakouts so I decided to buckle down and finally look after my skin.

First I remove my makeup with the Neutrogena Oil-Free Makeup Remover. I really like this makeup remover. It's one of those with the two layers that you need to shake up. It gets rid of my eyeliner and mascara pretty easily and it doesn't feel too oily on my face. I wouldn't say it was totally oil free but it's still a great remover and does the job well.

Next I wash my face with the Neutrogena Naturals Cleanser + Makeup Remover. I really love it because it's natural and has no sulfates, parabens or additives. It smells like green apples and is quite gentle on my skin. it also gets rid of any leftover makeup on my eyes.

I then use my Lacura Vitacell Cell Rejuvenation Serum Concentrate serum. I know that a few people really don't like this product. Some people have had very serious reactions to this product, but it's okay for me. The consistency is quite thin and it's quite watery, rather than oily but I definitely think it's making my skin smoother and softer.

This is the product that has changed my life. The Mario Badescu Drying Lotion. It is a fantastic product that just makes your blemishes disappear overnight. The super stubborn ones take a couple of days of application to disappear. It's not terribly expensive and lasts a long time. I HIGHLY recommend this.

I then use the Lacura Vitacell Cell Rejuvenation eye cream. Like  the serum, I don't think everybody loved this product, but it had better reviews than the serum. I feel like I've noticed a difference in the tiny wrinkles I have under my eyes. So it definitely works and I quite like the thicker consistency.

The last step for my face is moisturisation. I use the Nivea Pure and Natural Regenerating Night Cream which, like the Neutrogena Naturals collection, is very natural and has no sulphates or parabens which is great. I love that this cream is quite thick and moisturising so it's great for winter. I just love to slather this all over my face and neck.

For my body, I use Palmer's Olive Body Butter. Mine is quite old and they've redone the packaging so it's a pump bottle now but I love how thick and moisturising this is. Obviously it's thick as it is a body butter, but it leaves my skin feeling moisturised all day. The smell is rather fresh which I like more than sweet cloying scents.

The hand cream I use is the Soap and Glory Hand Food. I just can't put my finger on this scent; it's quite gender neutral, but my gosh. My hands feel so soft after using this. I also don't get that slick oily feeling over my hands so I can still go through my normal daily routine after using this.

Last but not least is lip balm. My lips are super dry. Not cracked and bleeding dry, but dry nevertheless. I've been using Dr Lipp's Original Nipple Balm For Lips and let's face it. I bought it because it says it's nipple balm. What in the world is nipple balm?! Comment and let me know! Any it's quite a thick and glossy balm that is super thick and moisturising (can you see the trend here?). It stays on all night and my lips still feel nice and hydrated in the morning.

Anyway that's what I've been using on my face over the last few weeks and for the first time in I can't even remember I haven't had any problematic blemishes. It's brilliant! Let me know your suggestions for skincare products and I'll talk to you guys later. Ciao!
