Desk Beauty Must Haves

As a blogger and a uni student, I spend a lot of time sitting at my desk, so I tend to hoard a lot of products within easy reaching distance to make things easier.

I'm probably the sort of person that doesn't like to be without a lip balm ever. So The Body Shop Wild Argan Solid Lip Oil. It's quite thin in texture but feels really nice and balmy on the lips. It also has argan oil in it which makes it really hydrating as well.

Another thing that I like to keep within easy reaching distance is hand cream. The hand cream on my desk switches up pretty often depending on my mood, or just whichever few creams I dumped on my desk the previous day. Currently it's The Body Shop Glazed Apple hand cream that was part of their christmas range. The scent is quite sweet, but you also get that hint of a tarty apple smell which I find really appealing.

Sticking with the moisturising and Body Shop theme, I like to keep the Satsuma body sorbet on hand to hydrate my skin. It has a really light texture which makes it easy to rub in and it doesn't leave me feeling to sticky afterwards either. And I love the citrusy scent as well. The satsuma fragrance is limited edition, but you can get your hands on lots of other scents from the Body Shop.

Because I write most of my beauty posts at my desk, it's also where I do all my swatches. So I like to keep face wipes around to remove makeup from my face or hands. The ones I'm using now are the Yes To Cucumber facial towelettes. They do a great job of removing makeup without leaving my skin feeling too parched or like it has some sort of sticky film left on it.

When my skin is feeling a little dull or I need a quick pick-me-up, I like to use The Body Shop Vitamin C Energising Face Spritz to give instant hydration and refresh myself. It's especially great in summertime as it can give a nice cooling effect to the skin, especially if kept in the fridge. But since that's too far away from my desk, mine just lives on my table.

Last but not least, when everything fails to make me feel better, I like to spritz a little perfume to motivate myself to work harder. Yeah that is strange, but funnily enough I find it makes me more alert and just happier in general. The one on my desk is See By Chloe which is quite a feminine scent with fruity and floral notes. And isn't the packaging just beautiful?

It's lucky I have such a large table to keep all these things and still have enough space to actually do work on it...
