My love affair with blushes, especially Nars blushes, has just grown to massive proportions. I bought a few more this month that I've been loving to bits. The first is Nars Deep Throat which is described as a "flirty, sheer peach" is a gorgeous peachy pink blush, similar in tone to the famous Nars Orgasm, but a little more coral and with a bit less gold shimmer to it. It's a gorgeous natural looking blush that gives a healthy flush to the cheeks.
The other Nars blush I've been loving is from their Hardwired Christmas collection. Nars Almeria, described as "tan rose" is a deep berry blush that has some serious pigmentation to it. A tiny bit of product goes a very VERY long way. I tend to use this blush when I'm a bit too lazy to use my bronzer as it gives a nice bit a subtle contouring as well as bringing some nice colour to my face. Also, that packaging is just too beautiful to pass up.
For my undereye concealer, I've been using the L'Oreal Lumi Magique Highlighter in Dark. Even though it's supposed to be a highlighter, I found that it does wonders to correct the darkness under my eyes because it's quite pink in tone. It's also quite light and doesn't really settle in any of the fine lines under my eyes. I just find that it really gives m complexion a bit of a boost so I don't look so down and tired. I'll definitely look into picking up another shade for actual highlighting.
I've also been using my Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel and have really been loving it. It's name is a little misleading as it's not really a gel but when I use this to wash my face it just leaves my skin feeling so smooth and radiant and so incredibly soft. Almost as if I don't need moisturiser afterwards. It has a beautiful floral scent to it and is just a really luxurious way to start the day.
For eyes, I've been loving my new Inglot Freedom Palette, especially the matte shade in 357 which is, surprise surprise, the taupe shade. It is absolutely perfect as a transition shade and I've just felt myself reaching for this palette over a lot of my other ones. It's quite small and handy to use and the shadow sizes are pretty huge too. I'll have a review of the Inglot Freedom System up in the next couple of weeks or so after all the Christmas collection posts, so keep an eye out for that.
Speaking of Christmas collections, the cute little set of mini Clinique Chubby Sticks has wound its way into my heart. Not that I needed any more crayon type lip products. But these are just phenomenal. The shades in this duo are 01 Curviest Caramel (which I left in a handbag/car somewhere so I couldn't photograph it) and 05 Chunky Cherry. They give great colour to the lips and feel really great a balmy on the lips. I do feel like the consistency of these is better than that of the original Revlon Balm Stains and it provides a little more hydration than the Bourjois Colour Boost crayons too. However I still feel like nothing compares to the Revlon Matte Balm Stains because they're just so unique. However I definitely need to look into buying a few more of these Clinique ones.
One of my favourite purchases of the month are the Zoeva brushes I got off BeautyBay. They are just phenomenal and so incredibly cheap. I rate these way above Sigma brushes. In fact I barely use my Sigma brushes since I bought these. They're just so much softer and less scratchy on my skin. They also wash really well and dry pretty fast too. My favourites are the 101 Luxe Face Definer for contour and blush, the 221 Luxe Soft Crease, 228 Crease and 231 Luxe Petit Crease for blending and the 234 Luxe Short Shader for packing colour onto the lid. They seriously get the job done better than a heap of other brushes I own.
