This is the bareMinerals The Magic Act Eye and Cheek Palette. It contains six eyeshadows, three blushes and a highlight in foldable packaging with a mirror. It comes in this super cute houndstooth printed cardboard packaging that folds up. It is a little bulky, and I feel like the bottom section that covers the blushes is a little unnecessary, but it's not a dealbreaker.
Celebrate is a yellowed white with a satin finish and a nice buttery texture. Fortune is a light pink shadow with a slight satin finish. Shazam is a frosty rosy beige with great pigmentation and texture.
A-Ha is a metallic bronze shadow that has amazing colour payoff and a soft buttery texture. Pumped is a matte dark brown with golden shimmers in it. It has pretty decent pigmentation and amazing longevity as well. Foreshadow is a dark reddish-brown with a satin-matte finish. All the eyeshadows have great pigmentation and a soft buttery texture which makes them really easy to apply. The longevity of the shadows was also pretty high up there, lasting about eight or more hours on my eyes before things started to melt into one colour.
Like the eyeshadows, the cheek products were also really great. Pigmentation was wonderful and they had nice soft textures, without being too soft so there's fallout. The Premiere is the highlight in the palette. It's a peachy beige with a golden shimmer that gives a luminous glow to the cheeks. It's quite a nice finish as it looks like your skin is glowing, rather than having large chunks of glitter on the cheeks. It's also quite opaque but can be sheered out for a more subtle look. The Close Call is a matte brown blush with a bit of a rosy tinge to it. The texture is quite lovely and creamy and easily blendable and can also double up as a bit of a contour colour as well. The Natural High is a peachy pink blush with golden shimmer. It has buildable colour and a nice soft consistency. Finally, The Indecent Proposal is a mauvey blush with a bit of a golden sheen to it. The texture of this is a little powdery, but it's workable and has pretty good colour payoff. Funnily enough, The Natural High and The Indecent Proposal are very similar to the Nars blushes in Orgasm and Sin respectively.
Overall this palette is a really great buy. It give a good introduction in bareMinerals products if you're like me and don't have much experience with the brand. The products are really great quality and quite neutral which makes them easy to use as well. It retails for $52 at Mecca.
