Topshop Beauty | drAUGUSTore

Topshop may not be one of those iconic drugstore brands that we see a lot of, probably because it's a lot more difficult to acquire, but the quality of their products are pretty good, and reasonably priced as well. I thought I'd share a little of my collection.

Finishing Powder in White Lies: This product is really similar to the translucent Nars powder that's available in both texture and finish. It gives a bit of a sheen to the skin while still setting it all into place. The only difference is that the Topshop one is VERY heavily scented, so if that's not your thing, or if the sent isn't to your liking, steer clear.
Eye Crayon in Rust: Eyeshadow crayons are good friends of mine, as they think they're one of the easiest things to use to get the perfect quick eyeshadow look. This is one of the best I have. It's incredibly pigmented and easy to both apply and blend. But the best thing is its lasting power, which is incredible. It's actually a struggle to remove, and I love it. If there are any more colours available, I would snap them all up.
Glow Highlighter in Gleam: I've heard amazing things about this luminiser from British beauty bloggers and they didn't lie. It's one of the best cream highlighters I own. While I must admit I'm not the biggest fan of cream products in general, I really like this one. The colour is a soft golden shade that has no chunky glitters or shimmers in it. It's wonderfully creamy and easy to blend as well. It also works great is a wash of gold over the lids.
Blush in Do It Again: One of my favourite affordable blushes in the drugstore price range, this one is a great dupe for the Nars Orgasm blush that gets everyone excited. It's a beautiful peachy pink blush with gold shimmers running through it. The blush itself is nicely pigmented and has a buttery texture which makes it a dream to apply.
Highlighter in Crescent Moon: If you've read the blog for a while, you'll know this is actually one of my all time favourite products. The texture is amazingly soft and buttery, and the pigment is amazing. I love the sheen of this highlighter. It's not too glittery or chunky, and adds a bit of an iridescent pearl-like glow to the skin.
Lipstick in Mink: The colour of this lipstick is probably one of the closest things to the Kylie Jenner lip colours that I own, but a little deeper and rosier. The finish of it is quite special, almost matte but with a little bit of a satin slip to it. There's no scent and the finish of it is neither drying nor hydrating.

There are a couple of cons to Topshop makeup that makes it a little difficult to say that it's my ultimate drugstore beauty brand. The first is that it's basically only available in store, so if Topshop is inaccessible to you, so is Topshop beauty. There is no Australian website, and I really don't know all that much about buying it from the UK, but regardless, shipping would be hellish.

My biggest gripe though, is that nearly all their products are limited edition, if not all of them. Therefore, the things that I own will probably be very difficult to track down if you wanted to get your hands on them, which is why I haven't been able to link everything and the links won't necessarily take you to the exact product.  However, they are always releasing new and wonderful products to try out, so it's worth just doing a periodic stop by to see if they're anything that catches your eye.

I have heard that the Topshop makeup products are actually made by the same creators of MAC. Is it true? I don't know, but the products they create are really good and definitely worth checking out.
