Monthly Favourites #13 | July Favourites!

Another month as just blown by. Once again I'll start another monthly favourites where the last month has gone. I'm back at uni and the workload will start to pick up again, so let's hope you'll still see me regularly! Let's get into the favourites!

Co Lab Dry Shampoo in New York: As I mentioned in my empties post, I really do go through dry shampoo like water and not many of them leave the most lasting impression. This one is pretty damn good though. Co Lab is formulated by Ruth Crilly from the YouTube channel, A Model Recommends. It's incredibly lightweight and doesn't leave that baby powder feeling in the hair which I love. Also, the scent is great and it just does a fantastic job at keeping the grease away.

Bourjois Happy Light Luminous Serum Primer: I've recently been really good about applying primer before my foundation or tinted moisturiser, and I've noticed a huge difference in the lasting power of whatever I put over the top. The Bourjois one is great because it doesn't just increase the staying power of my foundation, but adds a little bit more of a glow to the skin as well. Also, because it's a serum it adds a teensy bit more hydration my skin. It also doesn't contain any silicon so it doesn't leave that thick heavy feeling to the skin either.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Pencil in 003 Bad Girl Bronze: I dug this out from the depths of my makeup hoarding and I completely forgot why I never used it. It's a gorgeous cream eyeshadow in pencil form that just allows for great precise application. It's super easy to blend out to get the desired smokiness and it is so incredibly affordable as well. I've been using it as the perfect lazy girl eye routine in the mornings and it's been serving me well.

Maxfactor Skin Luminiser Foundation in 55 Beige: Yep there's a lot of drugstore happening and I'm loving it. The Maxfactor foundation is really thick in texture, but is quite hydrating on the skin and is perfect for the cold winter months. I love that it's a luminous finish (as the name suggests) but doesn't look shiny or glittery. It's more of a satin finish than a dewy one and has pretty nice coverages as well. The plastic packaging makes it really easy for travel as well because it's really light and there's no weird parts that are likely to shatter, although it does cheapen the look of the product.

Stila Stay All Day Smudgestick liner in Lionfish: Usually I'm one for seriously black eyeliner but when I'm going for something a little more subtle, I've really been loving the look a bronze eyeliner gives me. It opens up my eyes without looking incredibly harsh or dramatic like a black liner, but gives a little something extra to just a plain old dark brown line. I love it.

On another note, I've noticed I've recently talked a lot about my higher end purchases and sort of neglected the drugstore. So to rectify that, I'm going to be doing drAUGUSTore (I know, I'm so witty) for the entire month of August. So basically I'm going to be talking about drugstore products for the month of August, like reviews, looks and collection posts of my favourite drugstore products. Yay be excited, because I am!
