Nars And God Created Woman Part II Palette Review

I have to admit, this was a bit of an impulse buy. On a whim I walked into Mecca Maxima early Monday morning, and there it was, just staring me in the face. I just put it in my basket without even taking a look at the tester. It was going to be beautiful anyway. No way it wasn’t going to be.

This set came with the And God Created Woman Part II palette, and small brush and an eye primer.  The brush I feel is mediocre. It’s not bad, but it’s not great. I love the slanted shape of the bristles. However it is quite thick, so it does a nice job distributing a wash of colour over the lids, but nothing for a more precise application. The primer is magic. It makes the lids feel a bit tacky and keeps any eyeshadow colour look beautiful and brilliant and vibrant throughout the day.
Now lets move onto the star of the show; the palette itself. And let me tell you, it’s a beautiful palette. The packaging is your standard Nars packaging. A nice flat rectangular matte black package of goodness (that attracts fingerprints like no other) with rounded edges. It also has a nice mirror inside which I love. There are six small shadows inside, mainly cool toned.

There is a nice cool toned taupe colour perfect for blending into the crease, a light metallic gold shadow, a black shadow with gold microshimmers (they aren't that noticeable when applied), a beautiful pinky champagne colour, a warm brown with golden microglitter and a matte chocolate brown colour.

The pigmentation of these shadows are beautiful. They’re also really buildable, blend really well, and the shadow doesn’t crease throughout the day. The fallout is minimal and doesn’t have a powdery or chalky texture. Which makes it pretty damn perfect. They also last quite a long time, even without the primer.

I adore this palette, it may just be one of my favourite ones. And that's saying something because I have a heap of them. It's also great if you want to give Nars eyeshadows a go. You won't be disappointed!
