Bourjois Color Boost Review

This post has been in the making for a while. In fact I think it's been living in my drafts for a while while I've done other things and slowly forgotten it existed. But it has been rescued and now this post is happening.

I haven't seen many people talk about these Bourjois Color Boost lip crayons, and I honestly cannot understand why! They're along the same vein as the other lip crayons that are out. But for some reason I feel like they’re better than many of the other ones you can get from the drugstore.

The packaging is just like your standard lip crayon packaging. The colour of the tube is the same colour as the product, there is a twisty thing at the bottom for getting the product up and down and it’s in a cute pencil shape that makes it easy to apply and you’ll never need to sharpen. The lid is also relatively sturdy and won’t break and come off too easily in your handbag.
Clockwise From the Top: 02 Fuschia Libre, 05 Red Island and 06 Plum Russian
The real winner for this product though is the product itself.  They come in a variety of bright shades, although there aren’t too many of them (only 6 shades). I have them in 02 Fuschia Libre, 05 Red Island and 06 Plum Russian. They're supposed to have a silk extract formula to ensure hydration for about 10 hours. I don't think it lives up to its 10 hour claim, but it does feel hydrating on the lips for a long time, even after the product is gone. The pigmentation on them is really great too. You can apply a thin layer for a light tint to the lips, or layer it up for a more opaque colour. It also lives a nice stain on the lips. They glide on really easily and the finish is also really nice and glossy. It also has SPF 15 to protect your lips from sun damage. The only the down side to that is that the staying power isn't very long because it is so moisturising, but if you're someone that doesn't mind reapplying then it's not a big problem.
