Doing Damage in Priceline

The fabled Priceline cosmetics sale has come and gone, so I thought I’d share a few beauty bits I picked up. I won’t lie, I’ve actually been waiting for this sale just to buy products I’ve been dying to try. If drugstore cosmetics weren’t so crazy expensive in Australia, I’d have had these ages ago. But spending $20 on a Covergirl mascara is just a little bit too ridiculous. But I’m sure everyone has heard that spiel, so let’s move on to the makeup!

I’m just going to warn you now, everything here has been seriously hyped by beauty bloggers on the blogosphere, so I have high hopes for all of them!

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation in 53 Light Beige: This foundation is so expensive without the sale, and I’ve picked it up before during the sale and put it back just thinking of my bank account. But I bit the bullet this time and I hope it lives up to my expectations! It swatched really nicely and blended into my skin without any issues, so let’s hope it does just as well on my face.
L’Oreal True Match Foundation in N3 Creamy Beige: I have the original formulation and I do love it, so I was worried when I heard it’d been reformulated. But then I heard that it had improved, with extra oils added to improve skin hydration and application, which is great news, because the only gripe I have with the original was that it was a tad bit drying on my matte skin. I think most fans of the original formulation will really enjoy the new and improved version. But between you and me, I do prefer the previous packaging.
L’Oreal Brow Artist Plumper in Dark Brunette: I want a brow gel with fibres that doesn’t cost me the earth! While the Benefit Gimme Brow is on my list, it’s just so expensive for a tiny tube of eyebrow. So this has been on my radar as an alternative, and I’m excited to finally see it in stock, let alone on sale.
L’Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara: The hunt for the ultimate mascara is neverending, and I’m dying to give this a go. I like my lashes to look like they’ve been on steroids and tripled in volume, length and blackness. And I’m also on the hunt for the best drugstore mascara as well, so I thought this would be a nice entry point.
Covergirl Super Sizer Mascara: Yes, this was purchased for the exact same reasons as the L’Oreal one. I’ve heard good things, I’m excited, let’s see how it goes.
Maybelline Superstay Nail Polish in 130 Rose Poudre: My one on-a-whim purchase. I had no plans for a new nail polish, though the Superstay ones have been raved about for their staying power. I’m intrigued.

That’s all from Priceline this time! If there are any new releases to try out, I’m definitely going to be going back and getting some more stuff. During the next 40% off sale…
