Purple Lips

I'd have to say when it comes to lip colour I am relatively adventurous. I'll try out pinks and nudes and browns and reds, but I've never actually tried purple lips colours. I've always thought it was a bit too... well, purple.

So strangely, on a whim, when I was shopping around, I bought a purple lip gloss. A fairly pigmented lip gloss in the form of the L'Oreal L'Extraordinaire lip lacquer in Fuchsia Melody. And funnily enough, I quite like it. It brightens my complexion and adds a bit of colour to my face without being one of your typical pinks or reds.

And on that note, I went out and bought a fuchsia lipstick, the Maybelline Colour Sensation lipstick in Hot Plum. I chose it because I know that I like the formula and pigmentation of these lipsticks so that was one less ting to worry about picking. It was a safe choice with a crazy colour. And I'm happy to say that it paid off nicely. So maybe when you see me around, I'll be rocking purple lips.

On a completely unrelated note, I didn't spell fuchsia right once during this post. Thank goodness for autocorrect.
