Best of the Brand: L'Oreal

Another week and it's another roundup of what I feel are some of the best products from a drugstore brand. And this week, it's L'Oreal!

  1. True Match Foundation: A cult favourite, True Match foundation is a seriously great product. It's a buildable medium to high coverage foundation with a light texture, semi-matte finish and easy blendability. The shade range is great for people of all different skin colours and undertones as well.
  2. Lumi Magique Foundation: Another foundation, this one has a lighter coverage than the True Match and a little more luminosity as well. Boasting a more dewy finish, It's perfect for more natural makeup looks while still having the same light texture and blendability. The shade range for this foundation is also really good, having a few shades that are targeted for more both pink and yellow toned skin.
  3. Lumi Magique Highlighting Concealer: A great dupe for the YSL Touche Eclat, this concealer pen has a similar finish to the foundation, but more targeted for highlighting than concealing - it really doesn't conceal much. The pinky tone to is allows for better coverage of dark circles and is a bucketload cheaper than it's high end counterpart while still performing the same.
  4. Infallible Eyeshadows: These eyeshadows are by far some of the best eyeshadows on the market, high end or drugstore. They're more like pressed pigments than eyeshadows. The intensity of the colour is amazing and they have this unique soft texture that almost feels like a cream. They blend great and are super shimmery as well.
  5. Colour Riche Extraordinaire: This lip product is a little difficult to define. They're like balmy liquid lipsticks with the shine of a gloss. The colour payoff is pretty good, but what I love about this is the feel of it on the lips. It almost feels just like a lip balm with a high intensity shine to it.

A few honourable mentions go out to the
True Match concealers which are super creamy and easy to blend, but don't crease at all, and the new Mono Eyeshadows which come in a great variety of finishes but have the same wonderful pigmentation and blendability (I think I use this word a lot). The Infallible lipsticks are also really nice - they're creamy and pigmented, and really do last a while on the lips even through oily meals.
