My Naked Thoughts | Naked Palette

There is no shortage of posts and rants on the interwebs about the Urban Decay Naked Palette and its absolute greatness. It’s interesting to know that there are so many people around the world who agree that this is the one palette they would take with them if they were stranded on a deserted island. I obviously got my grubby little hands on this palette the day Urban Decay dropped in Australia. And to cut a very long story short, yes, it does live up to expectations, if not exceeding it.

The felt-wrapped cardboard packaging is synonymous with the original Naked palette. I like that it’s slimmer than the others, but it does tend to get dirtier faster and is a little less durable than a hard metal tin. The only thing that’s a bit frustrating about the original packaging is the tiny mirror, especially compared to the size of the palette. I feel though, eventually UD will change the packaging to match the rest of the palettes, and I think it’ll be a sad day to see these go.
The colour range is fantastic. You get light shimmery shadows for highlighting or simple eye looks, two beautiful matte colours for the crease, and a decent array of every other warm-toned brown you can think of. Favourite shades would have to be Sidecar, Half-Baked, Smog and Darkhorse. The pigmentation on all the shadows is phenomenal, and it’s really creamy and easy to work with as well. The masses were right when saying this could possibly be one of the best eyeshadow formulas out there.

My thoughts on this palette are pretty standard. It's incredible. If you're on the market for one palette that can do basically everything, this is probably what you're looking for, especially if you love warm-toned, metallic goodness.
