Monthly Favourites #1

Hello! The month of June has gone by in like a flash. I don't recall doing anything this month. Actually I've had exams all this much so I've been to stressed out to worry about beauty all that much but I do have a few things here that I absolutely adored this month.

The first is my Mario Badescu Drying Lotion. I mentioned this in my last post about my current evening skincare but seriously it has been a lifesaver this month. I've had seriously crazy skin over the last month. It was breakout galore! But this has saved my skin. Just like I said before. Dab it over the skin and go to sleep. The blemishes are just gone the next day like a miracle! Highly highly recommend it.

The next thing I've been absolutely loving this month is the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 20 Sand. It is currently  my favourite concealer. It's so soft and blendable and has pretty good coverage. I use it under my eyes to cover my dark circles (which I've had a lot of recently) and brighten up my face. I love how the packaging is so similar to to the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer (not sure why, I don't actually own it. But I will. Eventually).

My next favourite is an oldie but a goodie. It's the Sportsgirl Brow Pencil which I actually quite like. It has a spooley on one end and the pencil on the other. There aren't that many colour selections, but I think this shade is perfect for me. Also the pencil is quite soft and not terribly waxy. I also think it doesn't have the BEST staying power, but for under $10 it's pretty damn good.

This month for me has been the month of blushes. I have discovered how gorgeous and fresh faced they make you look. Now I think I look strange and pale without it. The one I've been loving this month is the Nyx Cream Blush in Rose Petal. It's just a pretty rosy pink blush that leaves my skin looking fresh and dewy. The colour is gorgeous and quite natural and the blush itself is very creamy and blendable.
To apply my blush, I've been using the Real Techniques Stippling Brush and I have been loving it. It just apply colour so well and the bristles are quite nice and dense too. It's also pretty easy to clean, but it's not clean now because well, I love it. So I use it and hence. It's filthy. Please excuse how dirty it is. But it's so wonderful that I will just keep using it.

My lipstick love this month has been the NP Set Lipstick in Athens. It is a very similar colour to the blush; a very rosy natural pink colour. They're actually quite similar to my natural lip colour, just a little more pink. It has a nice creamy finish and sometimes when I'm feeling lazy I actually use it as my blush. And it still looks quite nice.

For a fashion favourite! Everytime I leave the house, I've been wearing my Sportsgirl scarf. I absolutely love the leopard print and I just think it goes with everything. I love how it's a really long scarf and though it's not square in shape, it can be folded over so it bundles around the neck. I may go back to get some more in different prints. Any recommendations?

That's all for this month! I know there wasn't too much happening this month but I promise there's something exciting coming up. Something that smells a little bit like a haul. (; So look out for that. I'll talk to you soon. Let me know what you've been loving this month. I'd love recommendations!
